Zero Failures Training
Being a leader in our industry demands that we continue to push for excellence in
our products and services - that is why we started our Zero Failures Seminars. The
Zero Failures Seminars are geared primarily for professional applicators. We devote
equal time to classroom learning and extensive hands-on training. Our goal is to
further educate the industry in state-of-the-art application techniques, teach the
principles of log and wood dynamics, and equip our seminar attendees on how to apply
this knowledge to each log home they finish.
Attendees to our seminars include people who are new to the industry, as well as
seasoned professionals who already have established, successful businesses. To-date,
we've trained hundreds of applicators in Canada, Japan and the United States.
The classroom sessions are taught by staff chemists who have formulated our products,
often after working in the field with applicators to understand the demands of log
construction and finishing products. Tracy Hansen (right) teaches the hands-on section.
He, along with his wife Carolyn, own and operate Stormbusters, Inc. & Log Care, Inc., in Jackson Hole, Wyoming,
a log home sealant and restoration contracting company. Tracy has worked in the
construction industry for 29 years and has specialized in log home construction
and finishing for the past 20 years. Wayne Summons (left) is a graduate of the Colorado
School of Mines in Chemical Engineering with over 20 years of experience in the
log industry. Over the past 20 years Wayne has developed a number of products and
has a broad knowledge of many of the issues of protection, preservation and the
sealing of log structures.
